We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our dynamic team in Mott32 Dubai. Located on the 73rd Floor of the Address Beach Resort with enviable views over Bluewater Island, JBR, Palm Jumeirah and the Ain Dubai, the large open-air terrace is a unique feature of this Mott32. Mott32 specializes in Chinese cuisine as it should be, with time honoured traditions passed down from generation-to-generation, expertly delivered utilising the latest in modern and innovative cooking techniques. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for wine, a flair for customer service, and the ability to create memorable dining experiences through expert wine pairings.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Assisting the Sommelier Team in all tasks
• Assists guests with wine selections in a helpful, thoughtful, and gracious manner.
• Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware
• Informing guests on the variety of wines available.
• Store open bottles properly to maintain taste
• Training FOH team members on available wines in the absence of Assistant Head Sommelier or Head Sommelier.
• Complying with health and safety regulations.
• Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.

Ideal candidate:

• Certification as a Sommelier or a Degree in Hospitality is beneficial.
• Previous experience as a Sommelier, Wine Steward, or in a Hospitality role in fine dining concept
• Extensive knowledge on wines and regions of the different types.
• Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries.
• An understanding of the wine making process.
