About The Role
The purpose of this role is to create connections and work closely with business owners/stakeholders in order to initiate and drive new sourcing/procurement projects at different Boston Scientific offices all around GEM region. You will be a part of a strong collaborative team, you will be responsible for sourcing/procurement activities where successful interaction with both internal stakeholders and suppliers will be essential.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting the Procurement Management process of Indirect goods and services in EMEA Region
- Supporting company business for assigned areas in EMEA with initial focus on discretionary spend
- Driving cost reductions to meet business targets
- Supporting the end users with Procurement analysis and selection of suppliers
- Maintaining and support vendor contracts and databases
- Supporting the facilitation of new contract development and reconstruct sub-optimal, existing contracts
- Supporting the development of policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities
- Monitoring the cost, schedule and performance aspects of major sub-contracts
- Assuring cost modelling and business cases
- Providing guidance to business stakeholders to achieve goals in accordance with established policies
- Running Sourcing events: RFQ, RFP, RFI and Auctions
- Collaborating closely with Category Managers and support with Sourcing Projects, Investigation to implementation
- Conducting benchmarking projects and analysis to determine best in class opportunities
- Reporting accomplishments and communicate initiatives and other issues to leadership and within EMEA Business Team
- Organizing and participate in Supplier Business Reviews
- Promoting usage of Preferred Vendors
- Ensuring compliance with the Boston Scientific Quality System and Approved Vendor List
- Negotiating favourable payment terms with suppliers
What are we looking for in you
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Min 5 years experience within Sourcing/Procurement functions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work well with others
- Must be able to Draft and Red-line contracts
- Must be able to manage and run a Sourcing event end-to-end
- IT systems knowledge in SAP, Ariba and MS Office
- Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Market and legal knowledge required in addition to procurement skills
- Ability to work independently, to initiate savings strategies and to close tasks, projects and programs efficiently
- Fluent in English and preferably fluent in one of the GEM region languages
- Available to travel within the GEM region.
