Sourcing Specialist Job description

Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to join our team. As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the sourcing and procurement of goods and materials from international suppliers. You will work closely with our supply chain and Tender teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. Your primary goal will be to meet the client requirement and identify and onboard reliable suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and maintain strong relationships with vendors. The successful candidate will have exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of international/Domestic trade regulations, and the ability to coordinate various sourcing and purchasing processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Research, identify, and evaluate potential international/Domestic suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, and other relevant criteria.
  2. Conduct supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms for the procurement of goods and materials.
  3. Manage the end-to-end import process, including coordinating with logistics providers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies that optimize costs and meet quality standards.
  5. Monitor supplier performance, resolve any issues, and maintain effective communication channels to address concerns and maintain strong relationships.
  6. Analyse market trends, supplier capabilities, and economic factors to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement in the sourcing process.
  7. Continuously evaluate and improve sourcing strategies to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and other relevant documentation.
  9. Stay updated on international trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory guidelines.
  10. Collaborate with the purchasing team to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely availability of goods.

Required Skill:

  1. Strong knowledge of international sourcing and procurement practices.
  2. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with international suppliers.
  3. Proficiency in analyzing market trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives.
  4. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive informed decision-making.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in complex situations.
  7. Proficiency in using sourcing tools and software to track supplier performance and manage contracts.
  8. Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.
  9. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation and records.
  10. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Required Qualification:

Minimum 2-4 Years Experience in same industry.
