Sous Chef at Wet Black Burger
Responsibilities:
1. Menu Development:
- Develop and create new hamburger recipes and menu items.
2. Food Preparation:
- Prepare and cook hamburgers and other menu items to meet quality standards.
3. Meat Handling:
- Select, handle, and prepare various types of meat to ensure optimal taste and quality.
4. Bread Baking:
- Bake hamburger buns and ensure they meet the desired standards.
5. Hygiene and Safety:
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
6. Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and adequately stocked.
7. Cost Control:
- Manage food costs and minimize waste to ensure profitability.
8. Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the kitchen staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
9. Quality Control:
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and consistency.
10. Customer Satisfaction:
- Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to food quality.
11. Time Management:
- Efficiently manage kitchen operations to ensure timely service during peak hours.
12. Collaboration:
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications:
1. Experience:
- At least 2-3 years of kitchen experience in fast food or hamburger restaurants.
2. Creativity:
- Ability to develop menus and create new hamburger recipes.
3. Hygiene Knowledge:
- Full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
4. Meat Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of different types of meat and meat preparation techniques.
5. Bread Making:
- Basic skills in baking buns.
6. Speed and Efficiency:
- Ability to work quickly and effectively during busy hours.
7. Team Management:
- Proficiency in managing the kitchen, coordinating teamwork, and providing training.
8. Cost Control:
- Ability to control the cost of ingredients and products, and minimize waste.
