As a Prosthodontist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, planning treatment, and restoring oral function for patients with missing or damaged teeth. Your expertise will help patients regain their smiles and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive examinations and assessments of patients using diagnostic tools
- Design, fit, and maintain dental prostheses, including dentures, crowns, bridges, and implants
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, technicians, and other specialists to create tailored treatment plans
- Educate patients about dental care and maintenance of prosthetic devices
- Perform surgeries related to prosthodontics as necessary
- Keep accurate and detailed patient records regarding treatments and progress
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in prosthodontics and dental technologies
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited prosthodontics residency program
- Current state dental license and board certification in prosthodontics
- Proven experience as a prosthodontist with a strong record of patient care
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
