Specialist, Sourcing & Contracting

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Assisting in managing the global contracting, resourcing, distribution and monitoring of Marine and Land transportation cost. Supporting in handling the calculation of logistics capacity units; and the comparison of planned capacity with contracted capacity; resourcing logistics capacity by coordinating with service providers; Consolidation of sales orders by destination to optimize transportation resources. Contribute in sourcing processes, negotiating contracts and suggest overall targeted cost. Verifying service providers invoices and charges.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

-Assisting in monitoring transport and shipping trends & Market, seek areas for opportunities, and Ma'aden's Companies overall strategy and its implications for Logistics, participate in a rolling 5 year Logistics plan, resource future logistics needs of Ma'aden Companies, communicate to the Ma'aden s Companies and shipping partners

-Maintain & observe contract terms and validity, qualifying suppliers, prepare for negotiate renewal contracts and contracts for new or additional capacity, Maintain supplier relationships, seek sourcing opportunities IN ORDER TO reduce logistics cost within Ma'aden overall objectives. monitor and obtain logistics market intelligence, place and trends.

-Verify service providers invoices, suggest action in case of cost deviations as per authority matrix in order to ensure continuous delivery of Logistics Targets. Monitor overall cost and report deviations. Prepare periodical performance reports and presentations. Maintain reliable relationships with suppliers. conduct Logistics cost review with Ma'aden Companies.

-To report the changes in the Shipping Associations (IMO/CDI), 2010 Incoterms and any new countries requirements. Seek amendment and approval of policies WITHIN authority matrix in order to ensure Logistics policies and procedures are compliant with all shipping standards.

Job relevant information (BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY):

Ensure delivering to MAADENs customers, the right product, at the right place, at the right time, at the lowest total supply chain cost, through optimum utilization of internal human resources and external logistics service providers, while preserving safety and the environmental aspect.

Work completions and approval of administration and business decision within Ma'aden authority matrix and reporting to Manager, Commercial Logistics Ma'aden Aluminum BU

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferably Operations Management, Supply Chain, Economics/Business Administration or Chemical engineering
• Related to mining, petrochemical or similar industry
• High-energy strategic thinker with strong analytical and business judgement skills
• A competitive results-oriented attitude
• Strong knowledge of industry of functional speciality
• True team player and leader, with ability to manage ambiguity with the appropriate level of research and consultation
• Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills and acumen
• Ability to deliver high quality work under pressure of tight deadlines, with good organizational skills
• Fluency in Arabic and English
• Computer literate - PC applications

Experience:

4+ years varied experience in Sourcing & Contracting, Chartering, Demurrage and Claims activities
