Job Description

As a Splunk Consultant, expertise in configuring, deploying, and optimizing Splunk solutions will be essential. Here are the key responsibilities:

  • Solution Design and Implementation:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and design effective Splunk solutions.
  • Deploy and configure Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security based on client needs.
  • Develop custom Splunk apps, dashboards, and reports.

Splunk Administration:

  • Manage Splunk infrastructure, including indexers, search heads, and forwarders.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
  • Ensure data ingestion, retention, and security best practices.

Security and Compliance:

  • Utilize Splunk for security information and event management (SIEM).
  • Investigate security incidents, detect anomalies, and create correlation searches.
  • Assist in compliance reporting and auditing.

Integration and Automation:

  • Integrate Splunk with other tools and platforms.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for data collection and automation.

Training and Support:

  • Train end-users and administrators on Splunk usage and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

You should hold at least two of the following certifications:

  • Splunk Certified Power User
  • Splunk Certified Admin
  • Splunk Certified Architect

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Splunk.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Search Processing Language (SPL).
  • Knowledge of regular expressions, field extractions, and data normalization.
  • Familiarity with Splunk apps and add-ons.
  • Understanding of networking, security, and IT infrastructure.
