Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnoses of sports injuries, including acute and overuse injuries
- Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation programs for patients
- Manage and prescribe medical treatment, including therapeutic exercises and medications
- Advise on injury prevention techniques and effective performance strategies
- Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, trainers, and other healthcare professionals
- Keep current with the latest research and innovations in sports medicine
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, recovery processes, and preventive care
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree in a relevant field
- Licensed to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction
- Completion of an accredited residency in Sports Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Sports Medicine
- Proven experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries
- Strong understanding of sports physiology, nutrition, and injury prevention
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment
