Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL Database Administrator with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing our SQL databases to ensure high performance, availability, and security. They will play a crucial role in maintaining data integrity and providing technical support for database environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain SQL databases and related software.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance, including tuning SQL queries and indexing.
- Backup & Recovery: Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data safety and integrity.
- Security Management: Implement and manage database security, including user permissions, encryption, and data masking.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Data Integrity: Implement data replication, mirroring, and clustering to ensure data redundancy and consistency.
- Database Design: Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schemas and stored procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of database configurations, procedures, and any changes made.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and test disaster recovery plans for database systems.
- Support: Provide support for database environments and assist with query optimization, troubleshooting, and database upgrades.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as an SQL Database Administrator.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization (PTO).
- Knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a plus.
- Understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative team player.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar certifications are a plus.
