The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.
Responsibilities
- Weekly prepare cost initiatives and implementing cost control procedures
- Review and Maintain the standard cost in the system
- Issues, on a daily/weekly basis, cost reports, provides relevant information regarding unusual material movements or results (Standard vs Actual)
- Prepare weekly and monthly labor efficiency analysis and discuss with managers relevant areas that need Improvements
- Develop and report on a monthly basis overhead cost allocation and analysis on the major expenses that would have significant impact on product profitability.
- Provide assistance to Plant Finance in the preparation of labor and overhead budgets and forecast.
- Facilitate Physical inventory verification- Cycle counting, Quarter end and annual stock counting.
- Provide financial analysis and support to reduce the inventory holding and thereby optimizing the working capital requirement for the business.
- Visit all inbound warehouse at regular intervals and ensure sound internal controls have been put in place and recommending ways to reduce stock holding cost, and inefficiencies thru better internal controls and regular monitoring.
Requirements:
- Cost Accountant or Analyst Experience: Proven background as cost analyst/accountant with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and methodologies.
- Certifications: Preferably holds certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Industry Experience: 4-5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, demonstrating a solid background of industry challenges and controls.
- Preferred Nationalities: Candidates from Sri Lanka, Indian, Saudi Arabia, Egyptian, Jordanian, Bangladeshi or Pakistan are preferred.
