Job Purpose
To maintain Enterprise Level of Systems, Services and Solutions, and be able to handle and support the rapid changes and development on IT Technologies. Responsible for taking a lead role in overseeing active projects including but not limited to developing plans and schedules, interfacing with vendors, the acquisition of hardware/software and team management. Maintaining network system documentation; Developing and implementing network security procedures; and. Performing related duties as required.
Additional Responsibilities of Information Security Office which is to overseeing information security, cybersecurity and IT risk management programs based on industry-accepted information security and risk management frameworks.
Key Accountabilities
- Planning, designing, organizing and managing a highly complex enterprise LAN and WAN network and security infrastructure of ARG;
- Installing, configuring and administrating wide range of products and technologies mainly Network Devices, Firewalls, WAF, Load Balancers like CISCO, Fortinet, Juniper, Watch Guard, F5
- Hands on experience on wireless technology infrastructure of different brands like CISCO, Cambium, etc.
- Perform network security design and integration;
- Hands on experience on CISCO IP Telephony, Cisco Call Manager and Microsoft Direct Routing for M365 Teams integration.
- Providing Third level support for network connectivity and network outages for all ARG facilities;
- Supporting network connectivity and security and managing ARG LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network) environment;
- Hands on experience on SDWAN technology (implementation, Administration and Support).
- Knowledge of NAC, Zero Trust and SASE architecture.
- Ensuring best practice is adhered for incident and request management with periodic reviews to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up to date network documentation of activities & functions performed under this role;
- Knowledge and experience on of Public Cloud Architecture and Design.
- Providing necessary information associated with network vulnerabilities and security risk assessments, and monitors ARG network infrastructure for malicious activity;
- Developing and implementing network and system security guidelines, and prepares necessary procedural specifications to meet design requirements;
- Maintain and improve network security and undertake day-to-day security tasks as delegated by Line Managers.
- Assist the IT Manager Governance & Security in the development and maintenance of appropriate processes, procedures and standards;
- Implement & test technical security controls to reduce risks;
- Coordinating, evaluating and participating in projects which calls for troubleshooting, installing, implementing, administering, and maintaining the ARG enterprise highly complex network;
- Maintaining communication with functional managers to ensure issues are resolved.
- Researching and evaluating new network hardware and software and make recommendations to management;
- Analysing the teams workload and activity to drive efficiency and focus on SLA's and KPI's.
- Continual service improvement through best practice.
- Developing and implementing network security procedures; and performing related duties as required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and sustenance of Information Security Management System in line with IS027001 Standards
- Shall guide the team on their information security responsibilities
- Conduct security awareness sessions for new joiners/existing employees
- Working with the section heads and IT system administrators to ensure that aneffective process for implementing and maintaining the security controls is in place
- Review audit and examination reports dealing with the information security issues and place them to be reviewed by the IT Management during regular meetings
- The key threats to the information assets should be defined and communicated to the management of the organization at various point of time
- Responsible for the coordination of any Incident Response procedures undertaken in response to potential security breaches
- Co-ordinate or assist in the investigation of security threats or other attacks on the information assets
- Reporting security incidents and violations to the IT Manager Governance and Security
- Review and Approval of prioritization plan for implementation of patches and fixes for vulnerabilities that are identified from time to time
- Responsible for Evaluation of Compliance of new standards/regulations
- Responsible for security clearance of new network solutions and participate in security clearance of new applications
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor Degree - Graduate & Security and Network Certifications;
- Hands-on experience in network management platforms/tools including Firewalls, VPN, IPS/IDS, and Core switches, Application firewall, Network Load balancer;
- Ability to communicate highly technical and complex security concepts effectively across all levels of the organization (both IT and business);
- Subject matter expertise in the networking and security field with (10+) years experience;
- Solid understanding of network solutions (routing, switching, firewalls, VPN), and network security;
- Understanding of technical information security requirements and their interpretation in day-to-day business;
- Understanding of technical measurements and ability to execute them;
- Documentation, communication and reporting skills;
- Knowledge in other fields such as data centre, systems, database and storage will be an added advantage.
- Minimum CCNP (Routing and Switching), CCNP Security.
- Updated Certificates in Firewall, Switching, Routing, IP Telephony and Security.
