Job Description

About the job:

Kent is looking for a Sr Package Engineer-Mechanical Based on Shedgum for a Medium sized Brownfield EPC projects for Saudi Aramco.

The engineering duration will be12-14 months and some of these personnel would be required to continue full-time/part-time till project

completion through the Construction and Pre-commissioning phases.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Assist and contribute to the project to meet its safety targets and advise safety improvements.

Assist the team leader, be a team player,collaborate, and add value to the assigned project.

Coordinate/Communicate with other disciplines, Contractors, and Clients.

Assist and support project leads, managers, and directors to manage all aspects of projects from design to

implementation and handover.

Support technical reviews and analysis during vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.

Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, Standards, and practices.

Review the Contractor's deliverables such as requisitions, data sheets, and Technical Specifications for rotating

equipment, static equipment, metering, Analyzer, treatment sikds, and ensure all Contractor's engineering and design

work performed meets contractual obligations, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

Ensure all Contractor's design work is safe and carried out safely.

Ensure all Contractor's design work conforms to the codes and standards used by the Client or to agreed industry

standards.

If required, perform designing/engineering work/deliverables as part of the team.

Coordinate with the project team and clients to develop/finalize design specifications to meet their project needs with the

ability to interpret Client specifications.

Quality Assurance- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.

Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, advise the Client, and ask for assistance when required.

If required, assist, and help develop junior personnel within the team.

As a package engineer shall be an expert in Mechanical Engineering and more than hands on knowledge and specifics of

other discipline such as Instrument and Control, Electrical, Loss prevention and such

If required, provide support during fabrication, site construction, and commissioning activities.

Confirm equipment is properly specified and modelled.

Strong familiarity with related vendors and their products

bility to perform technical evaluations of vendor proposals.

Experience as the owner's representative during performance tests in vendor shops or in the field.

Detailed understanding of refinery processes and operations.

Strong knowledge of related industry standards (API, ANSI, NEMA, etc.).

Experience in evaluating operating equipment in a process plant environment and working with operators and other

plant personnel.

Experience preparing/ reviewing specifications based on process data.

Ability to evaluate the suitability of existing equipment for new conditions, such as during the revamp of an existing unit.

Ability to communicate and lead meetings with customers and vendors in the review of equipment specifications, bid

evaluations, design calculations and vendor drawing reviews.

Good understanding of Rotating package equipment such as Compressors.

Assist in the review and development of related computer tools and documentation. This requires good writing skills and

the ability to work with complex Excel-based spreadsheets.

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

Bachelor's or higher degree in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.

8 to 14 Years in detailed Engineering Design of EPC Projects in Oil & Gas or petrochemical Sectors (Min. 5+

Aramco project experience).

In-depth understanding of the Oil & Gas industry.

Conversant in MS Office and MS Project.

Experience and proficient in stage gate process.

Experience in managing work teams.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Relationship Building.

Familiar with Saudi Aramco Procurement Process.

Understanding of Local and International Codes & Standards.

Full-stack development skills with proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies.

Proficient with company standard office software and discipline-specific technical software.

Able to effectively communicate technical issues to peers (written and verbal).

Proficient at working with engineers to produce high-quality,accurate,complete engineering delivery.

Thorough knowledge of Aramco standards.

Well experienced on all latest Engineering Design software's used in Oil & Gas industry.

Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Ability to articulate technical challenges and progress effectively.

Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices
