Sr. Project engineer – I & C

About the job:

Kent is looking for a Sr. Project engineer- Instrumentation and Controls Based on Shedgum Project for a Medium sized Brownfield EPC project for Saudi Aramco.

The engineering duration will be 12-14 months and some of these personnel would be required to continue full-time/part-time till project

completion through the Construction and Pre-commissioning phases.

Skills and responsibilities:

Coordinate between Engineering, Client PMT and facilitate flow of information and support as required for engineering

team to deliver

Identify Areas Of Concerns upfront, Highlight and bring it to the notice of senior project management team

Review drawings/documentation progress and inform project management of the status and take necessary corrective

actions as required

Shall be adept at Saudi Aramco/Client procurement processes and shall coordinate between engineering and

procurement

Shall be knowledgeable of the requirements viz a viz Instrument and Controls Engineering Deliverables and shall be able

to comment as appropriate

Shall be adept at Client and International Standards and Practices

Assist the team leader, be a team player, collaborate, and add value to the assigned project.

Discuss and resolve any outstanding technical Issues related I&C Design.

Continuous Coordination with other Disciplines, Clients, and Vendors.

Thorough Quality Monitoring of I&C Design deliverables in compliance with the company's Quality Procedures.

Verify time schedules and other specifications for execution of the work.

To check and evaluate design and material specifications.

Facilitate Inter discipline squad check process and ensure smooth flow of the process and turn out of

drawings/documentation in a limited time frame.

Proficient in FAT, iFAT, SAT activities, participating in SIL, including resource planning, in-process inspection, team

building, and effective liaison with internal and external departments, and Vendor NMR packages review.

To document, record, and report on meetings, progress of jobs, and construction completion from design & validation

reports.

Interact with Quality Assurance for quality issues; strictly ensure compliance with the Company's ISO Quality procedures.

Conduct and facilitate Internal and Client audits.

Conversant with Smart Plant Instrumentation.

Coordinating meetings with Vendor, Client PMT, and Proponent for swift execution of the project from Engineering to

final handover.

Shall lead in the preparation of loop packages and logic test packages

Shall ensure construction activities at site are in conformance to engineering drawings/documentation and should there be

any conflicts appropriately addressing it with Engineering team over Site Technical Query

Should have sound knowledge at installation of Control systems and support to Control system vendors such as DCS,

ESD, MMS, CCS. Should be able to plan and coordinate and ensure resources are available and the vendors have the

necessary safety documentation and smooth work front available for them to productively progress on the job

Shall be able to plan for the pre commissioning and commissioning support activities.

Assist and support project leads, managers, and directors to manage all aspects of projects from design to

implementation and handover.

Support technical reviews and analysis during vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.

Quality Assurance- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

Bachelor's or higher degree in I&C Engineering.

8 to 14 Years in detailed Engineering Design of EPC Projects in Oil & Gas or petrochemical Sectors (Min. 5+ Aramco

project experience).

Understanding of Local and International Codes & Standards.

Full-stack development skills with proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies.

Proficient with company standard office software and discipline-specific technical software.

Able to effectively communicate technical issues to peers (written and verbal).

Proficient at working with engineers to produce high-quality, accurate, complete engineering delivery.

Thorough knowledge of Aramco standards.

Well experienced on all latest Engineering Design softwares used in Oil & Gas industry

Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Ability to articulate technical challenges and progress effectively.

Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices
