The Position
As a member of the global Compensation & Benefits (C&B) team, this role will support the development and application of global guidelines, frameworks, toolkits, procedures, and methodologies for the compensation function.
The C&B Senior specialist will provide local HR with guidance and assistance regarding alignment with Organon's global C&B standards and programs and will support local benchmarking, compensation trends and analytics, job evaluation, salary survey administration, and communication for total reward policies and programs.
The Senior Specialist will be the primary Compensation point of contact for the LAMERA & Canada countries (MENAT, South Affrica, Russia, Canada & LATAM) and will report to the Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Director, LAMERA & Canada. The Senior Specialist will also support Benefit initiatives.
Responsibilities
Leverage Data to Inform Decisions
- Support global team with global C&B support.
- Lead any regional/adhoc/local survey initiatives.
- Analyze survey work globally and for the region.
- Ongoing reevaluation of current existing local benefit solution offerings including analysis, interpretation, assessment, and practices to identify opportunities for improvements and to define new needs.
C&B specific activities
- Collect, analyze, and present compensation data- driven insights including metrics and dashboards to provide visibility and determine financial/people implications for local, regional, and global point of views.
- Work with local HR, C&B Director and appointed regional and local vendors to support and ensure annual benefits renewals are completed effectively.
- Review benefits vendor relationships and services to help ensure optimal outcomes for Organon.
Support the Global and Local Team to Initiate and Manage C&B Program Changes
- Prepare and support the HRBPs on the development on C&B business cases for different geographies.
- Makes recommendations for optimal solutions in situations where the issue is complex (High inflationary markets, highly regulated markets).
- Support, local execution and implementation of related C&B programs and activities, responding to local market conditions or challenges (Market insights/ intelligence such as participating in benchmarking, salary surveys, job levelling, salary ranges, etc.).
Global Governance
- Work with the HR Community to receive feedback and ensure compliance with global policies and standards.
- Provides education and guidance for HR requests/enquiries on all C&B policies/process (job levelling/banding, salary benchmarking, global policies/programs, etc.).
- Be a point of contact for Talent Acquisition and Local HR regarding new hire offer escalations and exceptions.
- Work with HR/Vendors to develop education and communication materials for changes/new benefits offering.
- Support HRBPs as needed to ensure compliance with legislative changes and emerging work (e.g., M&A, restructuring).
Required Education, Experience And Skills
5 years of relevant Total Rewards experience in a highly matrix and MNC environment. Experience in a regional role is a plus.
Data Analytics
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into insightful analysis, with meticulous attention to details.
- Excel experience; Power BI experience a plus.
Communication and Stakeholder management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Able to work in an entrepreneurial environment that requires constant evolution in its programs to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
Project Management
- Ability to manage to develop action plan and manage to key deliverables.
- Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team to complete a project.
- Flexibility and highly agile to manage diverse priorities.
Benchmarking
- Good knowledge of market data options
- Ability to provide insights and recommendation from benchmarking.
Compliance/Statutory Expertise
- Working knowledge of local legislation and compliance requirements.
Vendor Management
- Ability to support local HR with vendor management
