Job Purpose
To execute all maintenance jobs connected with Automation, Instrumentation, and electrical in all equipment/ Switchrooms/Sub-stations/ Control rooms in MMD
Key Accountabilities:
Maintenance Planning and Implementation:
Planning and implementing maintenance works to ensure their regularity and that they are achieved in conformity with the technical terms and within the time limits specified.
- Arrange manpower allotment on a daily basis for all planned activities.
- Distributing the work among maintenance supervisors and following up their activities as well as giving appropriate directives.
- Provide inputs in arranging the budget aligned with the business plan of the unit.
- Approving delivery orders of materials necessary to the maintenance operations.
- Conducting on-the-spot visits to the work sites to ensure that the course of work is going on properly.
- Implementing the safety and security rules
- Allocate manpower and resources in closing out all quality-controlled and safety-raised observations.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving as required
Following up on the proper implementation of the Preventive Maintenance Schedule and all safety procedures.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in implementing electronic, Electrical, and instrumentation maintenance at MMD and the unloader at berths 37 and 38.
- Ensure that all instruments in control rooms, and sub-stations are in proper working conditions
- Giving proper and timely feedback to the Manager.
- Arrange budgetary costs for all electrical and automation maintenance-related activities.
- Approve job orders related to electrical and automation maintenance.
- Cost monitoring for each maintenance activity.
- Assist in arranging the work scopes for any new project or plant-related improvements in guiding the hiring of contractors (outsourcing)
- Coordinate with procurement in providing technical evaluation for quotations received for any outsourced activities.
Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge & Skills:
Qualifications :
- Engineering / Higher Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Electrical and/or Automation Maintenance
Skills :
- Technical know-how
- Project and People Management skills
- Requires knowledge of planning and scheduling methodologies (and associated computer software like MS Project, Visio, AutoCAD, etc), technical knowledge of equipment and spares, emerging maintenance techniques, inventory management, and knowledge of safety and hazard norms.
- Basic finance knowledge (required for budget preparation) and administrative skills
- Working knowledge of SAP system, WINCOS, and PROPLAN.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook.
