Job Summary

Staff/Chief Compound Fertilizer Scientist is expected to Initiate, Propose and Execute research and development projects, He should be aware of the megatrends in the industry and familiar with new trends and products that can impact positively SABIC Agri-Nutrients products offering and propose new product based solution to customers. Lead in-house new product technology development, scale up & implementations in commercial plants. Provide technology support to commercial teams and drive specialty roadmap commercialization. The Staff/Chief Compound Fertilizer Scientist is expected to be familiar with developing CDP/PDP, implement new products in existing plants/assets and propose required plant modifications to reach continuous optimum and reliable production.

How You Can Be the Impact

(Job Responsibilities)

• Provide solutions based on market requirement analysis and drive product development until it reaches commercial plants.
• Expertise in Water Soluble, and compound Fertilizer research and development
• Familiar with market available technologies for production of Compound Fertilizer
• Provide technology support to commercial plants for the shutdown, turnover, and re-commissioning as needed.
• Provide trouble-shooting & Root cause analysis support and drive problem resolution for commercial plants.
• Development and invention of new products and application in the specialty Agri-Nutrients fields related to SABIC AN.
• Participate in in-house product technology development, scale up & implementations in commercial plants.
• Collaborate with external companies, start-ups and universities and lead projects toward implementation in the plant.
• Provide insights, directions and support to products development within the group.
• Possess basic knowledge in agronomy
• Collect and interpret market, customers and farmer data and collaborate with MDTS and business to make recommendations for improvements to ensure competitiveness.
• Actively contribute to safety culture, coaching young employees and initiate new programs.

• Masters, PhD is preferred.
• Experience of 15 years in dealing with new product development, preferably experience/collaboration/previous interaction with start-ups.
• Strategic thinking and planning.
• Leadership skills to work and influence highly talented people with diversified disciplines and cultures.
• Ability to create, foster and drive culture for innovation.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Highly Self-motivated.
