Responsibilities
Establish working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
Collect feedback from internal and external stakeholders on issues being faced and other requirements
Contribute to the preparation of progress reports directed to all relevant stakeholders to keep them informed of progress
Actively gain exposure and insights to local market development, business opportunities and the existing regulatory landscape
Actively participate in on-the-job training, mentoring, and coaching of subordinates
Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow
Develop guidelines and methodologies for the production of statistics leveraging previous experience and international best practices
Conduct detailed feasibility assessments and develop briefs and business cases for relevant initiatives / projects
Develop technical proposals for relevant initiatives / projects including detailed description of the proposed work, objectives and resources required
Guide workshops with concerned stakeholders to ensure alignment on statistical requirements and expectations, and review developed plans
Oversee the design of variables to be collected, variables to be derived and / or collection methods while ensuring alignment with requirements and expectations
Follow up on data gathering to ensure data accuracy and completeness in a timely manner and according to pre-defined guidelines and plans
Identify optimal methods for input data classification and coding based on pre-defined guidelines and objectives
Assess finalized data files to validate completion and accuracy, and recommend areas for improvement
Evaluate drafted statistical outputs and oversee validation activities to recommend improvements as needed
Ensure completeness of statistical reports in a timely manner and assess validity
Oversee continuous evaluation outcomes to recommend needed changes and resolve escalated issues
Review post-process evaluation reports to develop action plan and associated monitoring mechanism
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in a Statistics field
Bachelor s Degree in Mathematics / Statistics or equivalent is required
