Job Description
Role Purpose
The Stock Controller in the production Department is responsible for maintaining the supply and demand of inventory, receiving daily stock deliveries, checking delivery notes and querying discrepancies. He/ she is accountable for ensuring the stock is ticketed and distributed promptly, processing stock returns to warehouse and organizing stock transfers between floors.
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock
Oversee storage of products, particularly delicate items
Liaise with the production team to ensure a smooth production process is maintaining
Keep a complete and detailed database of inventory and supply documentation
Stock item data entries including: items, warehouse, group, subgroup, unit measure, brand, supplier and other types (Color, size, etc.)
Stock operations data entries including: foreign transfers, stock movements plus and wastes, production vouchers and daily cutting vouchers
Check (PI) s client name, correct item, color, department & size; as well as, match daily cutting vouchers with production vouchers in hand
Monitor correct data entry of stock receipts, purchases and internal transfers
Stock tracking by following selected items through their Cardex and position
Be present on the floor and personally inspect and confirm supply quantity , quality and delivery
Liaise with warehouse staff, production team and other internal employees to test products quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions
Report and provide a clear information about any deficiency in garments
Manage the flow of raw material from and to the departments by keeping track and measuring/counting on weekly
Liaise closely with the production manager and ensure that all used fabric is registered directly in the system
Follow up, document and send all unused / unnecessary fabric to the warehouse
Coordinate daily with the production team about the expected shipped dresses
Compare and ensure the dresses are compatible with the production sheet
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in business, or equivalent
2 to 3 years of experience as a stock controller or similar field
Strong computer skills are required
