Job Title: Store In Charge - Aluminum and Glass Industry
- Location: Dubai Industrial City
- Reports To: Head of Material Coordination Team
The Store In Charge will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the store, ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of aluminum and glass materials. This role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, overseeing staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory control practices.
Store Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring efficient handling and storage of materials.
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
- Ensure the store is organized, clean, and complies with safety and quality standards.
Inventory Control:
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking material movements and usage.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste, damage, and loss.
Material Handling and Storage:
- Ensure materials are stored safely and in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
Oversee the proper labeling and organization of materials for easy identification and access.
- Manage the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials.
Staff Supervision:
- Supervise and train store staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to store personnel, monitoring their performance and productivity.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and project teams to understand material requirements and schedules.
Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any material-related issues.
- Provide regular updates on inventory status and store operations to management.
Ensure all store activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the store.
- Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, material movements, and store activities.- Generate regular reports on inventory status, store performance, and any issues or discrepancies.
Maintain documentation related to safety, compliance, and quality standards.
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in warehouse or store management, preferably within the aluminum and glass industry or construction sector.
Strong understanding of inventory control, material handling, and warehouse management practices.- Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
Must be well versed with Good Received Notes ( GRN)
- Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in warehouse management or supply chain management.
- Experience with project management software.
