Job Description
The Strategic Business Analyst is responsible for gathering strategic insights, participating in strategic analysis and formulation, supporting in action and operational plans development, and developing progress and performance reports to highlight overall strategy and functions performance.
Responsibilities
Conduct day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance to policies and procedures
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes in line with leading practices
Establish working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders
Collect feedback from internal stakeholders on issues being faced and other requirements
Contribute to the preparation of progress reports directed to all relevant stakeholders to keep them informed of progress
Conduct research and benchmarking studies to gather strategic insights and participate in strategic analysis including SWOT, supply and demand, and capacity assessments to identify best practices and highlight gaps
Perform baseline analysis to understand the organization's current state using standard analytical and statistical techniques and develop reports including findings to provide input for the development of the organization's strategy
Draft multiple strategic pillar options depicting different groupings of strategic pillars, and support analysis with business cases for the development of strategic pillars and initiatives
Participate in detailing strategic objectives and converting them into KPI charters highlighting tools of measurement, baseline values, and targets
Identify core activities and essential resources to allow initiatives implementation and integrate outputs into the organization's operational plans
Support functions during action plans and operational plans development, ensure they cascade from strategy and strategic initiatives and they are justified
Schedule and conduct communication sessions with the organization's functions to disseminate cascaded strategies and ensure reconciliation with functions directions
Develop KPIs that cascade from the highest level to the individual level, monitor and continuously update KPI dashboards to track strategic metrics, and take action when needed
Analyze functions performance to identify gaps, provide insights on challenges and weaknesses and suggest improvement actions
Collect and consolidate data from functions on a periodical basis to analyze performance and completeness of plans
Develop progress and performance reports in coordination with functions highlighting overall strategy and functions performance, achieved results, and deviations and recommend improvements to be implemented in next planning cycle
Qualifications
0 to 2 years of experience in a Strategy field
Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent is required
