Responsibilities:
- Undertake feasibility studies and prepare reports bids and presentations as required by the service line.
- Monitor the activities of consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and statutory undertakers on projects site and to check that the quality of work complies with the specification.
- Liaise as necessary with external consultants in the delivery of technical services, specialized structural Inspections, and monitoring.
- Ensure that all structural inspections are completed to the appropriate standard and within the set time frame.
- Accurately work out the structural integrity of a proposed construction and ensure it meets regulations such as legal, environmental and health and safety standards.
- Review detailed charts and schematics on a regular basis to determine the best way to build new projects and repair existing infrastructure systems.
- Create new design plans for brand-new systems, as well as creating plans to repair existing structures.
- Write detailed project reports and cost estimates for proposed structure and repair projects.
- Calculate loads and stresses on structural foundations, beams, and walls.
- Work with designers to develop construction plans and blueprints and improve a structure's energy efficiency.
- Analyse building behaviour over time and assist with renovations or restorations of structures to extend their lifespan.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a civil engineering and masters in Structural Engineering
Experience:8+ years of experience in construction field
