Position Title: Structural Engineer

- Job Summary:The ideal candidate will be responsible for the structural analysis and design of aluminum and glass systems, including facades, windows, doors, and other architectural elements. This role requires a strong understanding of structural engineering principles, materials science, and construction methods related to aluminum and glass. The Structural Engineer will collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to ensure that all structures are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
Structural Analysis and Design:
- Perform structural analysis and design of aluminum and glass systems to ensure safety, stability, and performance.
Use engineering software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000) to model and analyze structures.
- Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Project Collaboration:
- Work closely with designers to develop innovative and efficient structural solutions.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Participate in design reviews and provide expert advice on structural issues.
Material and Process Knowledge:
- Stay updated on the latest developments in aluminum and glass materials, as well as fabrication and installation techniques.
Select appropriate materials based on structural requirements, cost considerations, and aesthetic preferences.
- Understand the behavior of aluminum and glass under various loading conditions and environmental factors.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure that all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
Conduct site inspections to verify that construction is in accordance with design specifications and standards.
- Address and resolve any structural issues that arise during construction.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain organized records of engineering calculations, design documents, and project correspondence.
Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation to clients and stakeholders.
- Keep detailed notes on design changes, decisions, and project progress.
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
Proven experience as a Structural Engineer in the aluminum and glass industry or a related field.- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000).
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, material properties, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of 3D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and rendering techniques.- Experience with facade engineering and curtain wall systems.
Familiarity with seismic design, wind load analysis, and other environmental factors.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous structural engineering projects in the aluminum and glass industry.
