Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Structural Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in structural design and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both commercial and residential projects, demonstrating proficiency in structural engineering software and a thorough understanding of building codes and regulations. This role offers an opportunity to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs.
Lead the structural design and analysis of projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish structural integrity, stability, and safety of various structures.
Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and construction documents.- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project requirements are met and design objectives are achieved.
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project proposals and deliverables.- Utilize structural analysis software and tools effectively to optimize designs and resolve complex engineering problems.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in structural engineering.
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering; Masters degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
5-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or similar.
Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations (IBC, ACI, AISC, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously is desirable.
