Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage Jetty Construction projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for supervising on-site construction activities, ensuring that jetty structures are built according to design specifications and within established timelines. This role requires a strong focus on quality, safety, and environmental compliance, particularly in marine environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Supervision: Manage and oversee daily operations of jetty construction, including piling, concrete work, and installation of marine structures.
- Team Management: Lead and coordinate field teams and subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time and meets quality standards.
- Safety Management: Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, particularly those related to marine and offshore environments.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections to ensure all jetty construction activities meet engineering and safety standards.
- Schedule Management: Maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of all phases of jetty construction.
- Material & Equipment Management: Ensure efficient use of materials and equipment necessary for jetty construction.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve on-site challenges, ensuring that issues do not delay project completion.
- Client Relations: Communicate regularly with clients and project managers to ensure all expectations are met.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in construction management or marine engineering is preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in marine construction, with a focus on jetty or similar marine infrastructure.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in jetty construction methods, including pile driving, precast concrete, and marine foundation work.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a construction team in a marine environment.
- Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of marine construction safety standards and best practices.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in marine settings.
Language:
- English is must.
- Arabic Preferred.
