COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Makeen is a JV formed by Saudi Aramco, Hyundai Heavy Industries and Saudi Arabian Industrial Investment Company (Dussur) to manufacture, build, sell and service marine and land-based 2 and 4-stroke engines.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for conducting and qualifying suppliers as part of the onboarding process, inclusive of onsite supplier visits, in addition to ensuring appropriate review and documentation of supplier information along with supplier portfolio segmentation.
- Carry regular market research to identify potential suppliers and manufacturers, lead the evaluation of their capabilities, and establish relationships to support company forecasted business requirements.
- Develop and update Makeen Approved Supplier List to facilitate company purchase activities and ensure competitiveness which includes selecting and qualifying suppliers based on company's policy.
- Conduct regular assessment of Approved Supplier List to ensure up-to-date information
- Lead the evaluation of suppliers performance and propose performance improvement measures.
- Supplier risk management through ensuring blacklisting and disqualification of concerned suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supplier management, procurement, or a related field.
- Certifications in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are preferred.
