Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Land Surveyor specializing in Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL) and Substations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in conducting land surveys for high-voltage substations and transmission line projects, with a focus on using advanced surveying tools such as GPS and Total Station. Proficiency in AutoCAD for data processing and mapping is essential, along with experience handling 380kV systems. This position requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing survey data accurately and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to meet project goals efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed topographic, boundary, and control surveys for substation and OHTL projects.
- Utilize GPS and Total Station equipment to collect precise geospatial data.
- Process and interpret survey data, preparing accurate maps and layouts in AutoCAD.
- Conduct land surveys specifically for 380kV transmission lines and substations, ensuring compliance with project and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, construction teams, and project managers to align survey data with project requirements.
- Maintain and manage survey equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Generate reports, including survey results, data calculations, and mapping, to support project documentation.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in land surveying, preferably in substations and transmission line projects.
- Hands-on experience with GPS and Total Station equipment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for survey data processing and mapping.
- Demonstrated experience with high-voltage systems, ideally with 380kV substation or OHTL projects.
- Familiarity with GIS software and interpreting geospatial data is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Required Skills and Expertise
- GPS and Total Station Surveying: Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and perform detailed land surveys.
- AutoCAD: Proficient in creating, editing, and interpreting survey maps and layouts.
- High-Voltage Project Experience: Experience with 380kV OHTL and substations, including safety standards and project requirements.
- Geospatial Data Interpretation: Knowledge of GIS systems and geospatial data for advanced mapping tasks.
