Role Overview -
As a Systems Engineer - HV Architecture, you will join the dynamic Systems Engineering team at Peec Mobility, Dubai. Your role spans from enhancing the current High-Voltage (HV) architecture to crafting future-proof strategies for all HV Systems. Your responsibilities cover the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to production, ensuring high-voltage safety, reliability, and compliance with rigorous standards within the allocated budget and timelines.
Roles & Responsibilities -
- Design, document, and implement High Voltage Architecture Strategy to ensure system functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance through a systematic approach.
- Development of Architecture diagrams, System level and Sub-system level diagrams as part of design documentation.
- Take full system ownership of HV components such as ESS, PDU, DCDC, OBC, Contactors, Fuses, Bus-bars, Cables, Connector interfaces, and Pre-charge circuits.
- Perform Electrical Circuit modelling for the entire vehicle architecture using SPICE-based simulation tools to simulate various electrical parameters under different conditions.
- Formulate emergency strategies around lockout/tagout procedures, De-energization, and crash safety protocols.
- Address challenges related to Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility (EMI/EMC).
- Analyze operational and functional safety by performing FMEA, FTA, and DFA studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that HV Requirements are met with the highest engineering standards.
Requirements for the Role -
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Profound experience in High Voltage System design in the EV domain.
- Solid grasp of Basic Electrical Engineering concepts and first principles engineering approach.
- Proactive in staying abreast of industry trends, research findings, and integrating new ideas into projects.
- Proficiency in using DMM, Oscilloscope, Isolation Tester, and other HV Instrumentation.
- Capable of educating others on HV Safety, Handling, and Basic troubleshooting.
- Deep knowledge of standards such as ISO 6469, CISPR25, ISO11452, and familiarity with ISO26262 is a bonus.
- Comprehensive understanding of High-Power EV Components such as DC-DC Converters, On-board Chargers, e-Drives, and Li-ion batteries.
- Proven track record of working and delivering high-quality projects in cross-functional teams.
- Min 5 Years experience, of which a period in a fast-paced start-up environment is preferred.
