Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Tax Manager to oversee and manage all tax-related activities across the Middle East and Africa region currently South Africa only (here after MEA). You will directly report to Head of Finance Shared Services MEA based in Dubai Design District and functionally report to Group International Tax Manager based in Paris HQ. You will have opportunities to work with Tax team in France and Italy on various international tax topics. You will lead discussion with competent tax authorities in MEA. Interaction with various business functions (not only finance but HR, Retail, IT, Legal, etc.) will give you good business understanding and help you to find potential improvement in tax compliance and tax efficiency.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing, international tax, and tax compliance (VAT, WHT, CIT) in multiple jurisdictions including UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, KSA, and South Africa. This role involves monitoring and controlling tax management, , providing tax advisory services to various Kering Houses including Corporate Division operating locally, leading tax technology initiatives (particularly E-Invoicing projects), managing tax inspections, audits and litigations. You will be in charge of implementing the Group Tax Policy working closely with Kering Tax Team.
Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Laws or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CTA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in tax management, with a focus on the Middle East and Africa region.
- Good knowledge of direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing, and international tax regulations.
- Strong understanding of tax compliance requirements in UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, KSA, and South Africa.
- Experience with tax technology solutions and E-Invoicing systems.
- Proficiency in SAP and other tax calculation software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
