As a Teacher Assistant (TA) at Numu Nursery, you will play a pivotal role in supporting lead teachers in daily nursery tasks, ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of our children. You will assist in managing the classroom environment, engaging with children, providing personal care, and contributing to the overall educational experience at Numu Nursery.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, adhering to proper hygiene practices.
  • Assist children during meals, sleep, restroom breaks, and other activities, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Engage with children positively, setting a constructive example through behavior and language.
  • Provide additional support to students with diverse needs, including children of determination and gifted students.
  • Support lead teachers in maintaining accurate student records, portfolios, and communication with parents.
  • Assist with organizing class activities, events, trips, assemblies, and concerts.
  • Provide administrative support, including resource management and ICT assistance.
  • Cover for absent teachers when necessary, ensuring continuity in the learning environment.
  • Continuously monitor children to ensure their safety and well-being, reporting any concerns of child abuse or neglect.
  • Participate actively in Numu Nursery activities, events, committees, and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect local culture, customs, and laws.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 years of experience working with children in a school or nursery, proven through reference letter.
