Teaching & Learning Senior Specialist - ZMU
Job Purpose:
The CTL Senior Specialist is responsible for monitoring students progress and arranging for academic interventions based on assessments, using observation and achievement data to identify professional development needs and designs and delivering site-based professional learning, and is also responsible for analyzing formative and summative student data and recommend modifications to instruction. To effectively lead this role, the Senior Specialist will also work closely with faculty and other members of the academic community to identify needs and deliver measurable and impactful outcomes.

Operational Responsibilities:
Work proactively to assess the needs of students to provide personalized academic support.
Provide opportunities for all students to develop grit, leadership skills, and critical thinking.
Identify barriers to academic success and identify, suggest, and implement effective strategies.
Manage and analyze student data to identify and advise at-risk and non-traditional students.
Develop academic interventions and strategies for at-risk students and students seeking to enhance their academic experience.
Implement assessment strategies to evaluate student learning outcomes.
Work with student support services to address learning challenges and enhance academic success.
Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and educational policies.
Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, and administrators.
Design and implement academic enhancement workshops, track student participation, and collect feedback to evaluate workshop effectiveness.
Collaborate with other departments to identify and provide workshops about emerging trends in technology that has educational and career impacts on students.
Develop and present orientation materials through regular training sessions.
Recruit, train, and manage students for the Peer Tutoring Program in the Learning Center.
Recruit, train, and manage students for the Lead Peer Mentoring Program.
Adhere to the University's information security and confidentiality policies and procedures and report breaches or other security risks accordingly.
Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed
Demonstrate a strong commitment and practice to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
