Aqualia, a leading global water management company, is looking for a Technical Director to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary technical team, including operations and maintenance staff and plant managers, to achieve their objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise operations and maintenance processes, reduce downtime and improve the reliability of plant infrastructure systems.
- Oversee the planning, execution and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure that all operations and maintenance activities comply with local and international quality standards, environmental regulations and safety protocols.
- Identify and implement new technologies, methodologies and best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and maintenance.
- Collaborate with customers, regulators and internal stakeholders to ensure transparency, address concerns and align technical and business objectives.
Requirements:
- Degree required: Bachelor's degree in engineering. Preferably in mechanical or environmental engineering.
- Required Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the water industry, with at least 10 years in a leadership role overseeing operations and maintenance.
- Essential Specific Knowledge and Skills: Desalination processes, regulatory standards, project management tools, health and safety protocols.
- Desired Specific Skills: Experience with digital tools. Familiarity with digital transformation tools and technologies such as SCADA systems, IoT for water management and predictive maintenance software.
- Languages: B2/C1 English mandatory. Other languages appreciated.
- Availability to travel.
