The Project Technical Director Is primarily responsible for the success of the project from a technical and programme perspective. He is also responsible for maintaining technical standards, as well as providing effective management and guidance to the technical delivery and project management teams.
The Project Technical Director Manages the setup of all design management systems and technical documents (excluding project control), ensures technical staff roles and responsibilities of each team member is well defined and reporting lines and communications is established. Responsible for successful delivery of the project in accordance with the scope of works from inception to final implementation including quality, time, cost and technical alignment with client sectors and procedures.
The incumbent will role model combined JV values, ethics and code of conduct and ensure all project delivery activities are carried out in accordance with these guiding principles
This role is based with the PMC and the Client team in Duba, Tabuk.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project technical leadership and project management of complex and large-scale project to achieve reliable project performance in terms of commercial outcomes, design solutions, timeliness and quality.
- Guiding Project planning, programming, and delivery activities to meet time constraints including ensuring adherence to client scope, procedures, and applicable standards for project deliverables to meet client requirements.
- Source, build and maintain strong and effective client relationships through successful project delivery and targeted activities.
- Lead and guide preparation for additional work resources schedule requested by the client and assist in securing through negotiation of technical and programme aspects.
- Identify and promote additional Resource Schedule s by anticipation of client requirement and propose solutions to create opportunities.
- Provide leadership to senior management team, engineering managers, leads and employees on the project to ensure project team technical delivery and staff cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development.

- Effectively manage project employees to achieve quality project deliverables in a timely manner
- Ensure the work health safety risks associated with the local operations are understood and managed effectively;

Person Specification
Demonstrated ability to consistently:
- Succeed in a similar role, with typically, 25+ years of relevant experience.
- Manage and direct major projects successfully to budget and client specifications.
- Display experience in leading and coordination, design and delivery of projects within multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
- Lead, manage, develop and assist in resourcing a team effectively
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (or equivalent)
- Advanced studies in technical field (i.e. Masters degree).
- Extensive project management and consulting skills, achieving prescribed budget, timeframe and client requirements
- High level communication skills to advise and guide complex project design development in a proactive manner and to represent the JV as a lead contributor to the project
- Demonstrated knowledge of application of appropriate and relevant design codes, International, Local Regulatory Authority and client Guidelines and procedures.
- Previous experience in large scale land development projects in GCC will be ideal
