orbit is excited to partner with an exceptional award-winning Fintech based in the UAE. Our client is embarking on a dynamic growth trajectory and is seeking outstanding talent to own their mobile platform team as they prepare for hyperscale.
Our client is a first-in-class financial platform that is changing the banking industry across MENA, as the Principal Engineer you will oversee, expand, and manage all facets of one of their platforms, leading and building a world class team of engineers, tackling high-priority tasks and addressing complex issues, your projects will include launching new products from scratch whilst optimizing and maintaining their core systems. This unique role offers a chance to learn how to build and scale a business function.
What will you be doing
- Lead and mentor a talented team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Architect and implement scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver on business objectives.
- Ensure the highest standards of software quality, security, and performance.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep their platform at the cutting edge.
- Drive agile practices and promote a collaborative, high-energy work environment.

- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer in a fintech or related industry. Ownership, accountability & proactivity - you build it, you own it, you run it.
- Team player with a collaborating, sharing & learning mindset - share your knowledge, we will share ours.
- Strong knowledge of clean coding practices, including object-oriented and event-driven programming
- concepts.
- Strong knowledge of basic algorithms and data structures
- Strong understanding of financial/banking products, trading systems, and financial markets.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
