Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
MEP Technical Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to ensure mechanical, electrical and PH works undertaken on site are completed safely maintaining quality, program and cost.
What You'll Be Doing
- MEP Technical Manager will manage, coordinate and control the design and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services including their specialist engineering subconsultants and contractors, providing specialist input at every phase of design and construction including commissioning, hand over and user group training management.
MEP Technical Manager will be responsible for ensuring Mechanical, Electrical and PH works undertaken on site are completed safely maintaining quality, program and cost.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Degree qualified: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; 25 years of experience on large projects.
- Professional membership of an internationally recognized institution.
- Track record in the delivery of large multi-functional projects.
- Technically proficient and able to understand the requirements of each MEP system design and installation.
- Ability to identify key issues and risks associated with system design and installation, and ability to coordinate management and resolution of the same in consultation with client, designer, and contractor.
- A rounded profile, comfortable with overseeing all aspects of design, technical submittal procedures, procurement, installation (QA/QC), and testing and commissioning.
- Effective in building good working relationships with client, design team and contractor.
- Review of design consultants and contractors for compliance with their contractual responsibilities.
- Identify risks and develop appropriate mitigation measures in conjunction with the PMCM team and the client.
- Oversee the technical submittal process and identify any issues inhibiting the process of submission, review and approval.
- Coordinate with the client to ensure their requirements and expectations are met in relation to the MEP works.
- Provide MEP systems advice to the client and PMCM teams in relation to systems installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Identify any non-conformance and coordinate appropriate rectification.
- Oversee contractor progress and identify any progress concerns.
- Conduct periodic inspections and advise the PMCM team and client regarding compliance.
- Participate in any necessary quality audits in relation to MEP works.
- Oversee the testing and commissioning program and ensure contractor compliance in conjunction with the Supervision Consultant.
- Review contractor schedules in relation to procurement, installation, and testing and commissioning, and identify any potential delays or progress concerns.
- Ensure As-builts and O&M Manuals requirements are completed in accordance with the owner and operator's requirements.
- Manage MEP defects rectification during the defects liability period.

- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Good organising skills with strong attention to detail, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and consistently meet high standards and deadlines.
- Ability to develop relationships both within the business and externally with clients, contacts, etc demonstrating tact, discretion and confidentiality as required.
