Position Overview: The Technical Office Manager oversees the development of structural models, shop drawings, connection details, and calculation notes for steel structures and solar mounting solutions. This role ensures the delivery of complete and accurate technical solutions, including main steelworks, purlins/girts, cladding systems, and building accessories, while providing leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modeling & Design: Manage structural models using SAP2000, IdeaStatica, and Tekla for steel structures and solar systems, ensuring compliance with standards and project specifications.
- Mentorship: Lead and train engineers to produce high-quality shop drawings, connection details, and calculation notes.
- Project Oversight: Ensure timely delivery of technical outputs, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with other departments.
- Solar Solutions: Supervise designs for solar mounting systems, including pull-out force and torsion force analysis.
- Standardization: Develop templates for technical submittals to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on technical progress.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience: 7+ years in steel structure design, with expertise in SAP2000, IdeaStatica, and Tekla.
- Skills: Leadership, advanced structural design knowledge, and strong communication.
