Job Purpose
Maintain and repair metal stamping machinery and auxiliary equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting and Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on stamping presses and all other press shop equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks by identifying and addressing potential issues before they lead to breakdowns or production disruptions.
- Test stamping machines to ensure they press, cut, and form materials into the required shapes for vehicle production.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues with press machines and related systems. Repair or replace defective components, ensuring all issues are identified and resolved before components are used in production.
Compliance
- Repair mechanical and electrical systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards.
- Conduct safety checks and implement measures to ensure all pressed components comply with safety and quality standards, preventing accidents or hazards.
Documentation
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and maintenance schedules.
Technical knowledge
- Robotics: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Kuka robotic systems used in manufacturing and other applications.
- PLC Programming and Drives: Develop and modify code for Siemens, Beckhoff, and Sew Programmable Logic Controllers, and configure drives to automate machinery and processes.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues within electrical systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Mechanical Assembly: Precisely assemble and disassemble mechanical components and systems.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems: Maintain and repair systems that utilize fluid power to perform work.
Job Requirements
Technical High School, or Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering/Engineering Technology or any related field.
Minimum relevant experience of 5 years in a Press Shop.
