Managing the changes/release management lifecycle, which includes scheduling, coordination and management of release across the bank for multiple applications across various portfolios.
Responsible to manage and implement change/release processes through development, test and production.
Responsible to build IT Release Calendar while working closely with technology leaders and PMs.
Key accountabilities of the role:
Change/Release Management:
Plan and manage all Change/Release activities.
Supervise the GO -live activities including the execution of the deployment plan.
Ensuring efficiency in operations and effectiveness controls implemented.
Receiving UAT releases in Service Management Tool.
Preparing schedule for conduct of Testing.
Assure the release integrity, version control and retrospectives.
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release schedule and quality.
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet expectations.
Coordinate with stake holder release content and effort based on the Change requests.
Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes.
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations.
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
Review Deployment, Implementation Plans and Implementation specifications.
Periodic Release Reporting.
Continually work towards making improvements in the release process.
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and release calendar.
Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
Supervising Code Release in Production:
Keep the tested code in Version Control system for purpose of access by production team.
Coordinate with Application Owners for the production rollout as per Release Calendar
Assigning the proper resources to monitoring production rollout based on Implementation specification.
Information Security:
Maintain information security related to ADIB, throughout the period of employment.
As soon as possible, report any potential or actual risks or incidents affecting the security of information to the helpdesk.
Documentation/Process Ownership:
The incumbent is responsible to take ownership, maintain & update documented processes or documentation related to his job function.
In the event where processes or documentation are shared, the incumbent shall be responsible to inform the owner of any document about required.
Specialist Skills/ Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
B.S. in Computer Science/ Business Administration.
Good Knowledge of IT systems, business process analysis, quality and software testing tools and Quality Control techniques.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and honestly in dealing with difficult issues.
Demonstrated ability to bring benefits of IT to solve business issues while managing costs and risk.
Formal training in Release management practices preferred.
Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle (Agile, Devops and Waterfall)
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
Good understanding of banking business processes.
Previous experience:
8-10 years of previous release management experience
