Tendring Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Tendring Engineer at Concord Engineering & Contracting in Cairo, Egypt. As a Tendring Engineer, you will be involved in complex infrastructure projects such as water works, sewage works, micro-tunneling construction, and construction. You will work alongside a team of engineers, project managers, and construction professionals to deliver major projects.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in civil construction and infrastructure projects
• Previous experience in sewage treatment plant & lifting station projects.
• Experience from 6 to 10 years
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools related to the field
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team setting
• Excellent communication and project management skills

Responsibilities:

*studies the bidding documents, analyzes the needs and requirements of the project, prepares a report on the needs, resources, and required supplies on time, and submits it to his direct manager for review and approval.

* Estimates the value of the bid items, studies the possibility of formulating them from a different engineering perspective if necessary, gives his expectations of the impact of this on pricing, prepares detailed price studies, and submits them to his direct manager for review.

*Prepares a list of project needs study requirements, cooperates with the needs department to obtain the latest market prices and supplier lists, and obtains records from the technical office on the business items being studied, if available, if necessary.

* Cooperates and works in coordination with the Projects Oversight Sector to prepare the initial project schedules on time. It completes and responds to all required technical inquiries and reviews the initial plan to ensure its logical sequence.

* Participates in updating the policies related to the study of bids, uploads all bidding documents and documents after updating and adopting them on the administration's database, and proposes alternative methods for keeping, circulating and updating information and documents related to bids.

* studies the cost analysis reports that are prepared by the cost control department after the completion of the project, and reviews the actual costs compared to the estimated costs to identify deviations and their causes to avoid them in future studies and take the necessary corrective actions.
