The Role
Reporting to the Test Manager, the Test Lead will be mainly responsible to lead a team of Test Analysts to meet the project's objectives.
Being involved in all phases of the STLC process, the Test Lead will manage all testing activities and seek continuous process improvements within the STLC process.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate test planning discussions with Business, Technical, PMO and QA
- Mentor Test Analysts to follow testing best practices in accordance to the Company's Test Strategy
- Prepare Test Plan after discussions with the team and have it reviewed and approved by the Test Manager and Client Service Delivery manager
- Identify the testing scope required for a particular task based on the requirements document
- Identify and schedule the testing effort
- Identify the required quality metrics and constantly monitor the results
- Maintain test suites for Smoke, Functional and Regression tests to ensure stable test environments and code is functioning as designed
- Lead defect triage meetings, prioritize defects and ensure defects are closed within the stipulated time frame
- Prepare Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plans related to Testing
- Prepare and send test run, test summary, defect summary and test closure reports to different stakeholders
- Own test reporting and dashboard creation for testing activities
- Identify any skill gaps and plan for training sessions for the identified Test Analysts
- Plan and deliver knowledge transfer sessions if required to the team members for the tools such as Test Reporting, Test Management, Test Automation etc. that they would use
- Manage the testing team's day-to-day tasks and activities
- Participate in test activities related to complex scenarios
Requirements
Must Have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Testing
- Excellent leadership skills
- Have strong organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize across different tasks and meet deadlines as per business objectives
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Quality driven with attention to detail
- Proactive team player with demonstrated mentoring skills to lead and motivate teams
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Good to Have:
- A degree in Business and IT or an equivalent professional qualification
- ISTQB certification
- Previous experience in the Payment Industry
- Good knowledge on SQL and database
