We are seeking a Testing and Commissioning Expert as part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Branch Office.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise testing and commissioning activities of Signalling, Telecommunication and Power supply systems & other relevant sub-systems in according to the procedures developed by the parties, and produce the test results and test reports.
- Hands-on knowledge in preparing Testing & Commissioning technical documentation, and FAT & SAT Testing Schedules and Programmes, plus maintenance services & working in Defect Liability Periods.
- Review and approve Test procedures and Programmes as well as Commissioning plans prepared by the Contractor(s) and advice the Employer in case of technical issues related to testing and commissioning.
- Interface with other parts of the Project including stakeholders involved in T&C activities to keep the overall system efficient.
- Identify and report any defects or variations from the specifications of the contract to the Employer by the Contractor when necessary.
- Report on completion of the testing activities in line with the procedures placed and submit regular and ad-hoc progress reports to parties during the lifespan of the project.
- Experience in writing & reviewing a job specification to determine appropriate Testing and Commissioning methodology that should be undertaken on the project.
- Attending project meetings/workshops for technical input and follow up all related Testing & Commissioning related matters.
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years experience in testing and commissioning of Railway Systems including but not be limited to, Power supply and distribution, Signalling and Automatic Protection, Operation and Supervision of trains, other Low and High Voltage power systems, Track, Control and remote operation systems.
- Minimum 7 years experience in a similar working position.
- Experience in organization and supervision of the installation, testing & commissioning of all relevant Railway Systems and their related Works in rail transport projects.
- Strong background in coordination of activities of Contractor(s) and Employer on a similar railway project previously.
- Previous experience with comparable projects in the Middle East region would be advantage.
- Full computer literacy.
- Excellent knowledge of English Language; Knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage.
- Driving license required in order to perform assigned duties.
