The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for execution of channel plans that maximize trade engagement and shopper conversion for his/her categories based on annual Commercial Strategy.
He/She will liaise with cross-functional teams in Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain, to ensure prompt execution of plans.
Trade Marketing Plan: Execution & Monitoring
- Execute and monitor Trade & Shopper Plans for all trade channels in order to maximize customer engagement and shopper conversion for his/her categories. Category Planning pillars are:
Pricing (pricing plan roll-out)
Placement (in-store activation execution and distribution enhancement initiatives)
Promotions (promo depth, volume, allocation)
- Manage volume forecasting, budgeting and execution of monthly promo & activation plan.
- Continuously analyse and extract actionable learnings from multiple data sources: Nielsen Retail Audit, EPOS data and Agthia IMS
- Monitor execution of brand plans based on monthly priorities and ensure best in category in-store/Trade execution.
- Manage execution of Trade/channel Plans that influence sell-in.
Marketing and Communication
- Collaborate with Sales Operations & Dev team for development of in-store promotional/POS materials
Product Launch Support
- Execution and post-launch review of 4P strategy for NPDs
MIS & Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate departmental statements and reports to meet Agthia and department requirements, policies, and standards
Budget Management
- Track and monitor departmental/ project budgets (resource requirements) and assist in management of budgets
- Develop monthly activity budgets and reports against the same
Qualifications, Experience& Skills
- Graduation or Post-Graduation in Business Administration
- 10-12 years of functional experience out of which >5 years should be in an equivalent managerial role
- Strong understanding of UAE/GCC retail trade environment, key retail customers and their ways of working
- Expertise in sales operations, budgeting and 4Ps execution
- Strong analytical, influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills
