Job Description

Tradition is the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financire Tradition and one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. CFT is represented in over 28 countries, employing over 2,500 people.

Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Trading Operations Administrator to be based within the Dubai office.

Main responsibilities within the Trading Operations Administrator position include:

  • Liaison between the Trading Operations desk and Front Office desks to ensure that all credit is kept up to date while efficiently managing any credit alterations
  • Investigate and resolve credit related queries, involving all areas of the trade lifecycle from execution
  • Coordination between the trading desk and the Business Analysts in regards to the release of new functionality
  • Introducing/automating areas of the trade booking process
  • Outline outstanding positions by leasing with the Clearing Banks and relevant desks
  • Ensure timely input of trades into ICE, CME and Trayport
  • Fostering a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that encourages an appreciation of diversity, cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working together effectively to enable each employee and the department to achieve its goals
  • Communicating in a friendly, helpful and non-prejudicial manner with all relevant internal and external stakeholders as you are a representative of your department as well as the Group and therefore expected to behave accordingly
  • Undertaking and passing all necessary training in line with the requirements of the role

Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:

  • Understanding of the financial services market (Desirable)
  • Experience with front office trading platforms (Desirable)
  • Excellent inter-personal/communication skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Excel preferable
  • Strong attention to detail
