Market Operations Associate:
The market operations associate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day trading operations of our cryptocurrency exchange. This is a critical role that ensures the smooth and efficient functioning of our trading platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks as they relate the trading platform
- Undertaking user testing for new features /version of the trading platform
- Performing end of day and start of day process and control checks
- Supporting the Set-Up and configuration of the Trading Platform including:
- Set up of new products
- Set-up of new instruments
- Set-up of new assets/currencies
- Set-up of new user email confirms
- Set-up of new fee schedules
- Set-up of new monitoring levels
- Investigating trade reconciliations owned by the business, ensuring that any breaks from the reconciliations are accounted for on daily basis, with issues addressed and correcting action taken
- Create and improve internal operational processes that allow us to meet our KPIs, Service Level Goals (SLGs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Investigate and resolve any exceptions/ failing settlements
- Completing all investigations and escalating issues identified to appropriate parties.
- Monitoring asset movements / realignments to ensure they settle across the correct accounts
- Ensuring all procedure manuals and documentation are accurate and reflect the current business process being performed
- Responsible for analysis, development, testing and implementation of change related items
- Identify changes in systems, processes to improve process automation, raising awareness of the risks in everyday processes; understanding the impact and mitigation actions and escalating appropriately if not already known/documented
- Investigating trading related problems, determining and executing the appropriate actions to correct problems
- Following up with lines of business on outstanding information requests
- Be able to manage priorities and multiple case reviews at one time
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in operations management or related field
- Proven relevant experience within the financial services, cryptocurrency, or FinTech spaces
- A broad understanding of the cryptocurrency market
- A familiarity with banking regulations, payment processing, compliance, and/or institutional operations
- Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees
- Excellent communications skills and fluency in English
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of Trading Platforms, Financial Instruments, Virtual Assets, and Market Operations
- Ability to work on rotational shifts basis
