Trading Operations Manager

Aquanow is looking for a well-rounded candidate to join the operations and client services team in our Dubai office as a trading and operations specialist. The operations department is responsible for managing coordination of all end to end back office, middle office, administrative and regulatory tasks within the UAE, and the client services team provides global 24/7 coverage for our clients and is responsible for timely and accurate service for our traded products.

As a trading and operations manager you will lead coordination of operational workstreams to deliver efficiency across metrics on a daily basis, while gaining an in-depth understanding of the regulatory workings and operations of a financial services firm. You will help the company to operate more efficiently by supporting critical business functions, in addition to identifying opportunities and managing risk to streamline processes for long term operational efficiency.

What you will be doing:

Client services

• Client Asset/Client Money reconciliations - Daily oversight, clear weekly and monthly governance and reporting for regulatory and management purposes
• Reserve reporting as per regulatory requirements
• Managing the trading process within the UAE, including risk and client authentication
• Direct oversight of trade confirmation, breaks and escalations
• Ensuring client support is managed to a high standard, in coordination with local and global teams
• Managing liquidity requirements with a view on banking and rails for trading operations within the UAE by being proactive and planning for different scenarios and eventualities
• Assisting compliance with Travel Rule and/or Know Your Transaction (KYT) alerts
• Managing implementation of custody arrangements, sweeping and treasury functions in coordination with IT security, Compliance and Technology teams

Requirements

• This posting requires a minimum of 5 years working in an operational/delivery focused role within the financial services industry, consulting or similar. Trading experience is preferred
• After on-site training period is complete, hybrid/remote work can be arranged in coordination with your team and manager

What you will need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree (ideally in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, etc.)
• Analytical skills and the ability to think through problems
• Positive attitude with high aptitude to learn new things
• Team player with capacity to work in an unstructured work environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, VBA, et al.
