Treasury Accountant - Hospitality

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Accountant for the hospitality industry, responsible for comprehensive liquidity management, including daily monitoring of cash balances and transferring funds to disbursement accounts for our client based in Dubai, one of the largest companies in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 6 months and is renewable.

The role sits within the Treasury Department and reports directly to the Treasury Director.

We are looking for a passionate Senior Accountant to manage Treasury Activities. Experience in the entertainment industry is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cash flow reports and forecasts.
  • Generate detailed project and entity cash flow reports as requested by MIS.
  • Assist management with liquidity information and prepare periodic financial reports for senior management review.

Bank Account Management:

  • Schedule and monitor daily bank account activities, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
  • Handle the opening and closing of bank accounts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage account access, including setting up and maintaining user permissions for treasury activities.
  • Reconcile bank accounts every month, addressing discrepancies promptly.

Internal Bank Transfers:

  • Execute internal bank transfers to ensure sufficient liquidity across all accounts.
  • Manage interbank transactions via bank portals, ensuring efficient fund movements.
  • Account for interbank transactions, interest, and charges, and ensure accurate recording in the financial system.

Other Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive treasury information and documentation for audits.
  • Maintain and update transaction codes and configure account sweeps in the financial system.
  • Perform month-end closing activities and share relevant information with the General Ledger (GL) team.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) departments to ensure timely payments and collections.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience as an accountant.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Oracle or similar ERP systems.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
