GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
The Manager - Treasury Operations is responsible for managing treasury activities across NAQUA including cash and funding management, credit facilities, cash flows, The ideal candidate must understand financial markets, the economics of the business, and the associated financial risks.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES (According to Importance of Responsibility)
- Manages day-to-day activities in treasury functions to meet the financial obligations of the organization
- Maintain the payment process with strict observation of the approval limits and controls.
- Ensure compliance with defined accounting procedures & guidelines, and maintain internal control.
- Ensure update of Currency rates tables to ensure accurate FX translation at month end closing for AR, AP, and GL accounts.
- Perform the bank reconciliation on monthly basis, and ensure all bank related entries are posted.
- Operate the operational cashflow , ensuring funds are in the correct currency, in the correct location, at the correct time. Co ordinating with HOD.
- Review interest revenue accruals and finance charge records.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of bank account, balance, bank/Treasury systems and bank cost information.
- Implement relevant policies, procedures and processes for the Treasury function to maintain efficient operational excellence in order to achieve NAQUA's overall strategic objective.
- Develop bank rating program internally.
- Coordination between other functional units of finance division
EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES/TRAININGS REQUIRED BY THE JOB:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting
- 5+ Years in the relevant field in a Senior position.
- Practical experience in treasury function is a must. Effective communication skills in English (Spoken & written) are mandatory. Bi-lingual (English & Arabic) will be an added advantage.
- Well-developed relationship skills and personality are necessary.
- Profound knowledge of office packages especially spreadsheets, presentation skills. Acquaintance of finance related ERPs, (SAP/Oracle/InforLN)
