My client (mining) is currently recruiting for a Treasury Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi.
You will be responsible for overseeing the financial and monetary aspects of the organization, including cash flow, liquidity, funding, and relationships with financial institutions. This role involves managing financial risks, ensuring sufficient funds for operations, and optimizing the company's financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily treasury operations, including cash positioning, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity management.
- Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Monitor and manage the company's cash flow and liquidity to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational and capital investment needs.
- Oversee the administration of business insurance programs and debt facility modeling.
- Allocate cash balances, maintain investment records, and prepare expense and earnings forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
- Advise management on the liquidity aspects of short- and long-range planning.
- Use hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks related to currency and interest rates.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
- Lead and manage the treasury team, providing guidance and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in treasury or a related financial role.
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments, credit facilities, and treasury best practices.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Experience:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with treasury management systems and financial software.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
