We are a dynamic and growing company in the reinsurance sector. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Underwriter to join our team. This role is responsible for facultative underwriting and overseeing accounts according to the underwriting standards of the Company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Underwrite facultative business in accordance with the Company's guidelines and philosophy and within the limits authorized by the Manager.
- Apply reinsurance knowledge in order to assess potential exposure to the company and to underwrite property and engineering Facultative Reinsurance business.
- Evaluate submissions, assesses and rate risks and perform all necessary underwriting functions in order to accept or decline risks and offers alternative terms and conditions on risks, which are presented at unacceptable terms to the Company.
- Assess and approve risk changes on existing accounts and assesses claims activity.
- Ensure that fast and efficient service is provided to our clients by the department
- Cooperate closely with our technical and claims team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Actuarial Sciences, or any related field
- CII is a plus
- MS Office (Excel, Proficiency in Word)
- 3-5 years experience as a facultative underwriter in a reinsurance or insurance company, or as a broker in a reinsurance broker company.
