Key Responsibilities:
Waste management, including;
- Egypt's nominee to the global project of sludge waste reduction.
- Coordinator on behalf of Egypt in the global project of packaging waste reduction.
- Egypt Waste management:
- Sorting, collecting and weighing the waste and storing it in the designated area,
- Sending waste to the warehouse team for update on SAP.
- Monthly performance and trends of waste.
Egypt chemical Officer:
- Informed about Issuing CMRSL.
- Consulted for forwarding updated CMRSL to all non-global, raw material, and outsourcing packaging material suppliers.
- Consulted about following up local suppliers response to updated CMRSL.
- Responsible to identifying non-compliant dyes, chemicals, raw.
Sustainability Targets:
- Egypt coordinator to the monthly ECS meeting with global team.
- Updates Egypt's performances of waste, Energy and water on sustainability platform.
- Lead sustainability project on fuel saving.
- Daily and monthly performance trends of Energy and water.
- Participating in Egypt's water reduction project.
Utilities Operation & Maintenance:
- Will plan, coordinate, supervise, and train the operations crew. On an as needed basis.
- Participates in the operation of the wastewater treatment, disposal and reclamation facility in line with the H&S.
- Under direction oversees the daily operation of the WWTP & Water Softener Plant & Air Compressors and Boilers.
- Performing daily industrial wastewater analysis to insure quality of outlet wastewater are within the local regulations.
- Performing daily water analysis to insure the quality of dye house feed water within the standard limits.
- Performing required analysis for the internal water inside the Boilers & feed water tank to insure the Boilers are running efficiently.
- Inspects WWTP &machinery, equipment, grounds and underground wastewater tank to determine need for repair or corrective actions.
- Performing maintenance tasks at industrial wastewater treatment plant.
- Submit monthly report shows status of the WWTP plant at the end of each month.
- Estimates Chemical materials and supplies needed for WWTP & Softener and Boilers.
- Responds to emergencies.
- Directs and may participate in the safe and efficient operation of Boilers and Water Softener plant equipment.
- Obtains necessary permits to perform required work.
- Enforces safety regulations.
- Develop new, more efficient processes and materials for water and wastewater treatment, or improve existing process and materials.
- Ensure the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible operation of equipment and processes.
- Plan and specify new treatment plants, taking into account available technology, market needs, cost of equipment and disposal of surplus substances.
- Review current water treatment methods for cost efficiency, environmental impact, output and water quality.
- Identify faults in the operation of water and wastewater treatment plants and take corrective action.
- Prepare reports, cost analyses of processes.
- Direct and coordinate the work of maintenance and water treatment plant operators.
- Ensure that the policies and procedures are followed and the system maintained.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BS in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience in WWTP operation & Water Softener plant 3 years.
- Excellent English.
- Computers Office package Skills.
