Responsibilities:
Supporting the activities with contractors, authorities and other stakeholders involved to assure efficient, safe and compliant installation of each part of the work.
Conducting site inspections and supervising related site activities
Validation of the applicability of international standards
Verification of submitted cost calculations.
Preparing regular progress/assessment/general reports for the next management level
Attending progress meetings with the project team and with client/contractor.
Experience in major infrastructure projects preferably in the railway industry with emphasis on maintenance facilities as part of a supervision or design team.
Making sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health and safety during the project lifespan.
With the help of others in the Consulting team ensure that the project runs smoothly, and contractual scope is completed within budget and on time.
Meeting regularly with the Project team to provide project updates/progress/risks, share and follow up on relevant information with external parties and the Client.
Assisting in the preparation of technical progress reports.
Strong background in coordination of activities in relation to Contractors and Clients interfacing on similar railway projects.
Hands-on experience in the organization and supervision of the installation, testing & commissioning of Civil Engineering related Works in metro & other rail transport projects.
Attending project meetings/workshops for technical input and follow up all related Civil Engineering Systems related matters.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of (15 to 20) years experience in major infrastructure projects, preferably in the railway industry with emphasis on maintenance facilities as part of a supervision or design team.
Have completed at least one (1) design-build transit project within the last 10 years.
Hold a professional registration in engineering.
Have work experience in Saudi Arabia or another GCC country.
Experience in site supervision and construction of civil works & infrastructures in metro & other rail transport projects essential.
Excellent communication skills fluent in Arabic and English, reading, writing and speaking.
User skills in MS Office applications including AUTOCAD, MS Project and Primavera.
Driving license required to drive to site or to technical meetings with the client representative.
Preferred nationality Saudi.
